A primary purpose of St. John's is to make disciples who will be life-long learners. Our aim is not complete mastery of the Bible, but a transformation that takes place at the very core of our being through prayerful study. The apostle, Paul, wrote, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind.”
Some of the learning opportunities we offer are as follows:
The Adult Forum is held on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. This is a casual gathering where all are invited to our Parish Hall/Education Center to discuss the lectionary readings of the day. The setting is informal with opportunities to share one's ideas, ask questions or just listen.
Join us for our weekly Coffee Hour for a friendly, casual gathering to meet with new and old friends, and catch up with one another from Sunday to Sunday. Held inside in the Parish Hall or outside in the courtyard. We hope to see you there!
Daughters of the King is an order for women founded in 1885. A Daughter accepts a Rule of Life and pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service, and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish. After a three-month period of study and discernment, each new member takes vows to uphold the two Rules of the Order, the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service.
We are currently in the process of revamping our Sunday School program. Please check back here for updates and connect with us if you have an interest in volunteering as a teacher.
