St. John’s Episcopal Church has been part of the Chester community for over 142 years. Church parishioners, neighbors, and visitors all come together to make up this growing and vibrant church family. Here, all are welcomed and invited to receive God’s grace, experience fellowship, and be guided by God’s love.
To promote God in the midst of life and life in the midst of God.
Christmas services will be held on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Regular Sunday Services:
8:00 am Holy Eucharist (without music)
9:00 am Adult Discussion
10:00 am Holy Eucharist with Choir
Sunday services and gatherings are always open to everyone. Sunday worship service is called the Holy Eucharist, also known as the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion, or Mass. Most of our services can be found in the Book of Common Prayer, which is the prayer book that most parishes throughout the Episcopal Church use. Some of us like to dress up for Sunday service, some like to dress more casually. We encourage you to wear what feels comfortable to you. Our beautiful music and choir are typically part of the 10 am Sunday service. Whether you attend online or in person, we're simply glad you're here.
